Amanda Thurston – Communications Strategist

Amanda is an experienced Consumer Marketing and Communications Consultant and has worked with a number of global brands including Nestlé Professional, Bidfood, Nescafé, Hamleys,, and NYR Organics. However, her passion lies in supporting SMES and start-up ventures, most recently working with family retail brand Cuddledry to reinvigorate their communications strategy a decade on from Dragon’s Den, and creating a targeted campaign to launch entrepreneurial chocolate brand, Cocoa Republic.

During her twenties, she managed the PR for The RSPCA ‘Good Business Awards’, which were created to recognise businesses making strides to combat animal cruelty in the food, fashion, and beauty industries, and in that time she became increasingly aware of the many grey areas of the so called ‘ethical’ beauty industry, and the importance for consumers to look ‘behind the label.’ Now, as a mum of two, she is more conscious than ever about the products she buys, and is excited to be supporting Rare Beauty on its journey.
